What it is
Tick-borne Borrelia; early treatment cures it, late treatment is harder.
Symptoms & signs
- Expanding red rash around the bite (erythema migrans), often without a bullseye centre
- flu-like illness
- later: joint swelling, facial palsy, heart block, nerve pain
