What it is
The vaginal microbiome tips over: yeast overgrowth, or a loss of lactobacilli.
Symptoms & signs
- Itching and thick white discharge (thrush)
- thin grey discharge with a fishy smell (BV)
- soreness
- no smell in thrush

Where it strikes

- Fluconazole or clotrimazole for thrush
- metronidazole for BV
- treat recurrent cases with longer courses
- check glucose if recurrent
