Retinaculum musculorum flexorum manus sinistrae · Retinakulum ohýbačů levého zápěstí
Fascia & connective tissue
Looks like
A thick band of tissue across the front of the wrist, spanning the arch of wrist bones.
What it does
Forms the roof of the carpal tunnel, holding the finger-bending tendons and the median nerve in place.
Keeping it well
Squeezing of the median nerve beneath it causes carpal tunnel syndrome: tingling of thumb to middle finger at night.
