Lingular vein

Looks like

The vein of the lingula, the tongue-shaped lower part of the left upper lobe beside the heart.

What it does

Drains the lingula into the left superior pulmonary vein.

Keeping it well

Divided when the lingula is removed; the lingula itself is a common site of pneumonia.
