Deep femoral vein

Looks like

A deep thigh vein running beside the deep femoral artery and joining the femoral vein below the groin.

What it does

Drains the thigh muscles.

Keeping it well

Deep vein clots can form in it; a swollen, painful thigh or leg needs an urgent ultrasound.
