Flexor digitorum brevis
Musculus flexor digitorum brevis · Krátký ohýbač prstů
Muscles
Looks like
A muscle in the middle of the sole, just above the plantar fascia, from the heel bone to the four small toes.
What it does
Bends the small toes and supports the foot's long arch.
Keeping it well
Lies right over the plantar fascia, so heel pain there can involve it; stretching and calf work help.
