Anatom3DRight obturator internus
Musculus obturatorius internus dexter · Pravý vnitřní sval ucpávající
Muscles
Looks like
A fan-shaped muscle lining the inside of the pelvis, whose tendon turns around the hip bone to reach the thigh bone.
What it does
Turns the thigh outward and holds the ball of the hip in its socket.
Keeping it well
Its sheath forms part of the pelvic wall; deep pelvic or buttock pain lasting months needs assessment.
