The forearm bone on the little-finger side, thick at the elbow (the elbow point) and thin at the wrist.
What it does
Forms the main hinge of the elbow and the stable axis around which the radius turns.
Keeping it well
The elbow point (olecranon) breaks in falls onto the elbow; a shaft break from blocking a blow is a 'nightstick fracture'. The funny-bone nerve runs beside it.
