Sinus maxillaris · Čelistní dutina
Respiratory system
Looks like
The largest sinus, a pyramid-shaped air space inside each cheekbone, below the eye.
What it does
Lightens the face, warms air and drains into the nose.
Keeping it well
Upper back teeth sit just below it; pain in the teeth with a blocked nose is often sinusitis. One-sided bloody discharge that persists needs examination.
