Sartorius
Musculus sartorius · Sval krejčovský
Muscles
Looks like
The longest muscle of the body, a thin strap crossing the front of the thigh from the hip bone to the inner knee.
What it does
Helps bend, open and turn the hip and bend the knee — the cross-legged tailor's pose.
Keeping it well
Rarely a source of trouble on its own; its tendon at the inner knee can be sore in runners.
