A nerve of the lumbar plexus running down the side wall of the pelvis and out through the obturator foramen to the inner thigh.

What it does

Moves the inner thigh (adductor) muscles and brings feeling from a patch of the inner thigh.

Keeping it well

Can be hurt in pelvic surgery, pelvic fractures or childbirth, causing weak leg crossing and inner-thigh numbness.
