The longest skin branch of the femoral nerve, running down the inner thigh, knee and shin with the great saphenous vein.
What it does
Brings feeling from the inner knee, inner shin and inner edge of the foot.
Keeping it well
Injured in vein stripping, knee surgery or by tight braces, causing inner shin numbness; blocked for knee and ankle surgery.
