Anatom3DSubmental vein
Vena submentalis · Podbradková žíla
Veins
Looks like
A small vein under the chin, running back along the lower surface of the floor of the mouth.
What it does
Drains the chin, lower lip and the muscles under the tongue into the facial vein.
Keeping it well
Rarely a problem on its own; surgeons keep it in mind when lifting skin flaps from under the chin.
