Right radial recurrent artery
Arteria recurrens radialis dextra · Pravá zpětná vřetenní tepna
Heart & arteries
Looks like
A branch that leaves the radial artery just below the elbow and turns back upward on the outer side of the joint.
What it does
Joins the radial collateral artery above, closing a loop of blood supply around the elbow; feeds nearby muscles.
Keeping it well
It crosses the radial nerve branches at the elbow; surgeons tie it off when freeing a trapped radial nerve.
