Left anterior interosseous artery
Arteria interossea anterior sinistra · Levá přední mezikostní tepna
Heart & arteries
Looks like
A thin artery running down the front of the membrane between the radius and ulna, with the nerve of the same name.
What it does
Feeds the deep finger and thumb flexors, the pronator quadratus and both forearm bones.
Keeping it well
It can serve as a vascular pedicle for bone and skin flaps; forearm compartment syndrome endangers it with the muscles it feeds.
