Musculus iliacus · Kyčelní sval
Muscles
Looks like
A fan-shaped muscle lining the inside of the hip bone, joining the psoas tendon to the inner top of the thigh bone.
What it does
Flexes the hip together with the psoas and steadies the pelvis.
Keeping it well
Powered by the femoral nerve. A bleed into it (for example on blood thinners) can cause groin pain and thigh numbness: seek care.
