Anatom3DObliquus capitis superior
Musculus obliquus capitis superior · Horní šikmý sval hlavy
Muscles
Looks like
A small muscle at the back of the upper neck, running from the side of the first neck vertebra up to the back of the skull.
What it does
Tilts the head back and to its side, and helps fine-tune head position.
Keeping it well
Rich in sensors that report head position; stiffness here adds to neck-related headaches and dizziness.
