Semitendinosus
Musculus semitendinosus · Pološlašitý sval
Muscles
Looks like
The inner hamstring with a long cord-like tendon, from the sitting bone to the inner upper shinbone.
What it does
Bends the knee, straightens the hip and turns the leg inward.
Keeping it well
Its tendon is often used to rebuild the ACL; the muscle strains in sprinting less often than biceps femoris.
