Musculus orbicularis oculi · Kruhový sval oční
Muscles
Looks like
A ring of thin muscle around each eye, in the lids and out onto the cheek.
What it does
Blinks, squeezes the eyes shut and pumps tears into the drainage duct.
Keeping it well
Nothing routine; when it fails the eye stays open and dries, so the cornea must be protected.
