Anatom3DAnterior inferior jugular nodes
Nodi jugulares anteriores inferiores · Přední dolní jugulární uzliny
Lymphatic & immune
Looks like
Lower deep neck nodes on the front of the internal jugular vein, around the crossing of the omohyoid muscle.
What it does
Receive lymph from the tongue, the front of the neck and higher nodes.
Keeping it well
Tongue cancer may spread here even when upper nodes look clear, so surgeons include them when removing neck nodes.
