Calcaneonavicular ligament
Ligamentum calcaneonaviculare · Patně-loďkovitý vaz
Joints & cartilage
Looks like
The inner limb of the Y-shaped bifurcate ligament on top of the foot, from the heel bone to the navicular.
What it does
Binds the heel bone to the navicular across the midfoot.
Keeping it well
Injured in twisting sprains; tenderness in front of the outer ankle may be this ligament, not the ankle itself.
