A branch of the common fibular nerve running down the front of the shin with the anterior tibial artery.
What it does
Lifts the foot and toes and brings feeling from the web between the first two toes.
Keeping it well
Compartment syndrome of the shin damages it — severe shin pain after injury is an emergency.
