Anatom3DDepressor septi nasi
Musculus depressor septi nasi · Stlačovač nosní přepážky
Muscles
Looks like
A tiny muscle under the nose, running from the upper jaw above the front teeth to the base of the nasal septum.
What it does
Pulls the tip of the nose down and narrows the nostrils, most visibly when smiling.
Keeping it well
Harmless on its own; surgeons sometimes release it in nose surgery when the tip drops on smiling.
