Anatom3DElbow joint
Articulatio cubiti · Loketní kloub
Joints & cartilage
Looks like
The hinge between the arm bone and the two forearm bones, with a third joint between radius and ulna inside the same capsule.
What it does
Bends and straightens the arm and lets the forearm turn the palm up and down.
Keeping it well
Common problems: tennis and golfer's elbow, fractures and dislocations. A child who will not use the arm after a fall needs an X-ray.
