Genital branch of genitofemoral nerve

The inner branch of the genitofemoral nerve, entering the inguinal canal with the spermatic cord or round ligament.

What it does

Moves the cremaster muscle (lifts the testis) and brings feeling from the front of the scrotum or labia majora.

Keeping it well

It carries the cremasteric reflex; injury in hernia surgery can cause lasting groin or genital pain.
