Looks like

Lymph nodes along the back wall of the armpit, beside the subscapular vessels (subscapular group).

What it does

Filter lymph from the back of the shoulder, upper back and back of the neck base.

Keeping it well

Can swell with skin infections or skin cancers of the upper back.
