Looks like
A sensory nerve from S1–S3 leaving the pelvis below the piriformis and running down the back of the thigh under the fascia.
What it does
Brings feeling from the lower buttock, perineum and back of the thigh down to the calf.
Keeping it well
Can be irritated by prolonged sitting or buttock injections, giving numbness or pain at the back of the thigh.
