A thin skin nerve running down the back of the calf and behind the outer ankle bone to the outer edge of the foot.
What it does
Brings feeling from the outer back of the lower leg, outer heel and outer edge of the foot.
Keeping it well
Used for nerve biopsy and as graft material. Numbness in its area is often an early sign of diabetic neuropathy.
