A channel running sideways around the inside of the back of the skull, along the edge of the tent-like dura over the cerebellum.
What it does
Carries blood from the confluence of sinuses out towards the sigmoid sinus.
Keeping it well
Narrowing here is often found in raised brain-fluid pressure (idiopathic intracranial hypertension): daily headaches with blurred vision need a check.
