Cuneiform cartilage

Looks like

A tiny rod of elastic cartilage in the fold between the epiglottis and the arytenoid on each side; sometimes absent.

What it does

Stiffens the edge of the laryngeal inlet.

Keeping it well

Visible as a small bump in laryngoscopy; not a source of disease itself.
