Heart & arteries
Looks like
A slender artery leaving the femoral artery in its canal just above the knee and running down the inner side to the knee.
What it does
Feeds the vastus medialis, the skin over the inner knee and joins the network of arteries around the knee.
Keeping it well
Surgeons use it for small bone flaps from the inner femoral condyle; its saphenous branch runs with the saphenous nerve.
