Distal phalanx of right little finger
Phalanx distalis digiti minimi manus dextrae · Koncový článek pravého malíku
Skeleton
Looks like
The tip bone of the little finger, under the nail.
What it does
Supports the fingertip and nail; insertion of the deep flexor and extensor tendons.
Keeping it well
A drooping tip after a blow may be a torn extensor tendon (mallet finger) — splinting straight for 6–8 weeks works.
