Left nasal bone
Os nasale sinistrum · Levá kost nosní
Skeleton
Looks like
Two small oblong bones side by side forming the bony bridge at the top of the nose.
What it does
Form the rigid upper third of the nose, onto which the cartilages of the lower nose attach.
Keeping it well
The most commonly broken facial bone. A bent nose or blocked side after injury is best checked within about a week; a blood swelling in the septum needs same-day drainage.
