Nasal bones
Ossa nasalia · Kosti nosní
Skeleton
Looks like
Two small oblong bones side by side forming the bony bridge at the top of the nose.
What it does
Support the upper nose and protect the airway beneath.
Keeping it well
The most often broken facial bone; a nose that looks bent is best reset within about two weeks, and a swelling inside the septum must be drained promptly.
