Right inferior nasal concha
Concha nasalis inferior dextra · Pravá dolní nosní skořepa
Skeleton
Looks like
A thin curled bone, like a scroll, along the lower side wall of each nasal cavity, covered with thick spongy lining.
What it does
Warms, moistens and filters the air you breathe; its lining swells and shrinks in a cycle, switching airflow between nostrils.
Keeping it well
Swelling of its lining (allergy, colds, overuse of decongestant sprays) blocks the nose. Persistent one-sided blockage needs an ENT check.
