Left costocervical artery

Looks like

A short trunk from the back of the subclavian artery (same as the costocervical trunk).

What it does

Branches to the top two rib spaces and the deep back-of-neck muscles.

Keeping it well

Rarely a problem; can feed abnormal vessels in the upper chest.
