Frontal nerve
Nervus frontalis · Čelní nerv
Nervous system
Looks like
The largest branch of the ophthalmic nerve, running forward along the roof of the eye socket.
What it does
Divides into the supraorbital and supratrochlear nerves, bringing feeling from the forehead, scalp and upper lid.
Keeping it well
Shingles along it gives a forehead rash; migraine surgery and nerve blocks target its branches.
