Iliococcygeus
Musculus iliococcygeus · Kyčelně-kostrční sval
Muscles
Looks like
The thin back part of the pelvic floor muscle (levator ani), from the side wall of the pelvis to the tailbone.
What it does
Supports the pelvic organs and lifts the pelvic floor.
Keeping it well
Weakened by childbirth and ageing; pelvic floor training helps leaks and heaviness. A bulge in the vagina needs assessment.
