The smallest branch of the ophthalmic nerve, running along the outer wall of the eye socket to the tear gland.
What it does
Brings feeling from the outer upper lid; carries borrowed fibres that make the tear gland produce tears.
Keeping it well
Rarely injured alone; relevant in eyelid and orbital surgery.
