Lower secondary canine tooth
Dens caninus inferior · Dolní stálý špičák
Skeleton
Looks like
The pointed eye-tooth third from the midline in the lower jaw, with a long single root.
What it does
Grips and tears food and guides the jaw sideways when teeth slide over each other.
Keeping it well
Its long root keeps it in place long; gum recession on it is common from hard brushing — use a soft brush.
