Skeleton
Looks like
A pea-sized bone on the palm side of the little-finger edge of the wrist, which you can feel at the heel of the hand.
What it does
A sesamoid in the tendon of the flexor carpi ulnaris, giving the muscle leverage; landmark for the ulnar nerve beside it.
Keeping it well
Falls on the heel of the hand can fracture it; the ulnar nerve and artery pass beside it (Guyon canal), so numbness in the little finger matters.
