Tiny perforating arteries from the first part of the posterior cerebral artery entering the brain between the cerebral peduncles.

What it does

Supply the thalamus, hypothalamus and midbrain.

Keeping it well

Blockage causes small deep strokes affecting eye movements, alertness or one side of the body.
