Upper first secondary molar tooth
Dens molaris primus superior · Horní první stálá stolička
Skeleton
Looks like
The large permanent back tooth in the upper jaw, sixth from the middle, usually with three roots.
What it does
The main upper grinding tooth; it erupts around age 6.
Keeping it well
Its roots sit close to the maxillary sinus, so toothache and sinus pain can mimic each other. Swelling of the face needs prompt care.
