Ovarian artery
Arteria ovarica · Vaječníková tepna
Heart & arteries · female only
Looks like
A long thin artery leaving the aorta high in the belly and running down to the ovary.
What it does
Supplies the ovary and the outer part of the tube.
Keeping it well
Nothing routine; because it comes from so high, ovarian disease can spread to nodes beside the aorta.
