Anterior sacro-iliac ligament
Ligamentum sacroiliacum anterius · Přední křížokyčelní vaz
Joints & cartilage
Looks like
A thin sheet over the front of the sacroiliac joint, inside the pelvis, joining the sacrum to the hip bone.
What it does
Closes the front of the joint; the weakest of the sacroiliac ligaments.
Keeping it well
Torn in pelvic ring fractures, letting the joint gap open at the front (seen on CT).
