Muscular branches of axillary nerve
Rami musculares nervi axillaris · Svalové větve podpažního nervu
Nervous system
Looks like
Short branches of the axillary nerve fanning into the deltoid and teres minor behind the shoulder.
What it does
Drive the deltoid to lift the arm sideways and teres minor to turn it outward.
Keeping it well
Damage leaves a flat, wasted shoulder and weak arm lifting; test the skin patch and deltoid after a dislocation.
