Subclavian nerve
Nervus subclavius · Podklíčkový nerv
Nervous system
Looks like
A small branch of the superior trunk running down behind the collarbone.
What it does
Moves subclavius, a small muscle that steadies the collarbone; sometimes sends fibres to the phrenic nerve.
Keeping it well
Rarely injured; an accessory phrenic fibre can matter in neck surgery.
