Subtendinous bursa of iliacus muscle
Bursa subtendinea iliaca · Podšlachová burza kyčelního svalu
Joints & cartilage
Looks like
A large sac between the iliopsoas tendon and the front of the hip joint capsule; often connects with the joint.
What it does
Lets the hip flexor tendon glide over the front of the hip and pelvic rim.
Keeping it well
Can swell into a groin lump (iliopsoas bursitis), often with hip arthritis; a snapping hip may involve this tendon.
