A main branch of the anterior cerebral artery running along the groove above the corpus callosum, on the brain's inner surface; absent in some people.
What it does
Supplies the inner surface of the frontal lobe, including the leg area of the motor strip, through its frontal and paracentral branches.
Keeping it well
Its blockage causes weakness of the opposite leg. It is mapped in surgery near the midline.
