Left clavicle
Clavicula sinistra · Levá klíční kost
Skeleton
Looks like
The collarbone: an S-shaped bone you can feel across the top of the chest, from the breastbone to the shoulder tip.
What it does
Holds the shoulder out from the body like a strut and shields the vessels and nerves heading to the arm.
Keeping it well
One of the most commonly broken bones, usually from a fall on the shoulder; most heal in a sling. Skin tenting or a cold, numb arm needs urgent care.
